Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped some big news about the potential in-ring future of his niece Zoe Hines.
“My niece, Zoe Hines, recently signed a contract with WWE,” Kennedy, 72, announced during a speaking engagement on Thursday, March 5.
He added, “I’m really looking forward to knowing so many good doctors who can treat her after.”
Kennedy, the United States Health and Human Services Secretary, was joined onstage at the event by his “very, very close friend” Linda McMahon, the United States Secretary of Education.
In letting the news about his niece’s contract slip, Kennedy acknowledged that McMahon, 77, has “a lot to do” with WWE.
Linda is the former CEO of WWE, which she ran with her estranged husband, Vince McMahon. Vince, 80, and Linda separated in 2022, though have never divorced. Vince resigned from his role with the company in 2024 after allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault.
WWE’s current Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque (a.k.a. Triple H) has been married to Linda’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, since 2003.
Zoe, a former softball player at Boston College University, is the daughter of Rebecca Hines and Laurent Boye. Rebecca is sisters with Kennedy’s wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines.
She participated in WWE tryouts over SummerSlam weekend in 2025 at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, which she shared via social media.
“Grateful for the opportunity, the experience, and the people,” she shared via Instagram at the time. “Honored to represent @wwe at the 2025 SummerSlam Tryout ⭐️❤️🔥.”
Zoe posted multiple pictures and videos from the tryout, including one with WWE star Rhea Ripley.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the prospect of WWE signing Zoe had been discussed internally for months before Kennedy spilled the beans.
Zoe’s tryout did not go well, per the outlet, with some behind-the-scenes reportedly “dreading” the idea of her signing a contract with the company.
The plan now is for Zoe to start training with WWE’s developmental system as she attempts to prove herself.
Zoe majored in communications at Boston College, where she graduated in May 2025.

Zoe appeared in 133 games for the Boston College softball team over the course of her four years as an Eagle, finishing with a .222 batting average, 67 hits, 31 RBIs and 8 home runs.
