Outrageous pizza slice at Coachella is allegedly making people seriously ill: ‘Pukechella’

It’s not just the beats that are sick.

Justin Bieber’s lazy performance is apparently not the only thing making Coachella attendees’ stomachs turn.

Revelers claim they have fallen ill after attending the 2026 music fest this past weekend, with many blaming their gastrointestinal issues on the “overpriced” pizza at the vendor Spicy Pie, per viral videos blowing up online.

“The Rumor is Hundreds of People are Sick at Coachella from the $25 a [sic] Slice “Spicy” Pizza…,” warned one good Samaritan in an X PSA.

Another cautioned, “Since I watch Coachella TikToks on the reg, I’m here to tell y’all don’t eat at Spicy Pie because everyone’s been getting sick from the pizza.”

The Post reached out to Coachella organizers for comment.

The pie purveyor in question, which operates multiple booths at the soiree, specializes in an eponymous, battleship-sized slice topped with pepperoni, jalapenos and crushed red pepper.

“Kicking off another @coachella and we are really feeling the love,” they wrote on Instagram ahead of Coachella, which is held at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

“I woke up to find my stomach burning,” recalled TikTok user @Davanity (pictured). TikTok/_davanity

However, customers were clearly feeling something else. In TikTok vids, some of which were hashtagged #pukechella and #sickchella, many reported experiencing symptoms ranging from nausea to churning stomachs and even vomiting after eating a slice.

“I felt so queasy afterward,” declared user @emily.lorem on TikTok while describing trying Spicy Pie for the first time at Coachella. “I had to go to the port-a-potty. So that’s how you know it’s really, really bad.

She added, “Now I’m finding out that other people are getting sick from spicy pie, I think I’ll never eat it again.”

“I woke up to find my stomach burning,” recalled another, recounting symptoms that began a day after trying the sweltering slice. “I ran to the bathroom and was there for like an hour. I think I might have gotten food poisoning.”

Meanwhile, another TikTokker documented their visit to one of the on-site medical tents, claiming that they suspected the pizza and planned to report it to the festival staff.

As of April 13, there have been no confirmed reports from Coachella organizers about a foodborne illness outbreak related to any specific vendor.

Unfortunately, tumultuous tummies aren’t the only complaints plaguing the concessions at the event, which runs for two consecutive weekends: April 10–12 and April 17–19.

One attendee reported paying $41 for two slices of pizza and a can of Coke. Other pie in the sky prices included $30 for a chicken sandwich and fries at Dave’s Hot Chicken and Carne Asada fries for $28, The Tab reported.

Unfortunately, some of the shows didn’t make dinner go down much easier.

Justin Bieber is being ripped over what fans are calling a “lazy” headlining gig at Coachella, where the “Baby” singer’s set included karaoke snippets of his greatest hits off a laptop.

They found his lackluster performance particularly galling, given that he was reportedly paid $10 million for the appearance.

In fact, these mishaps almost seemed par for the course during an event plagued by problems, ranging from last minute cancellations to brutally long lines.

Meanwhile, the first night of the event, a DJ John Summit performance took a frightening turn when a heavy lighting fixture plummeted down on the audience — striking at least one concert-goer in the head and leaving her bloodied.
