Scantily-clad festivalgoers stuck in Coachella hell in desert heat

It’s all vibes until you’re 45 minutes deep in a coffee line, wearing little more than a bandeau top and short-shorts.

Scantily-clad Coachella festivalgoers found themselves in a different kind of endurance test this weekend— stuck in marathon lines for Starbucks drinks under the brutal desert sun.

Instead of dancing under palm trees, some attendees spent peak festival hours baking in 80F heat, inching forward for iced lattes and refreshers — the closest thing to survival fuel.

The line for Starbucks at Coachella this weekend.

Videos circulating on social media show massive crowds snaking through the festival grounds, with attendees in barely-there outfits— think sheer dresses, shorts and shirtless looks—shielding themselves with umbrellas and fans as they waited.

“Imagine purchasing tickets for Coachella just to spend your afternoon in a Starbucks line,” one person commented on Instagram.

Typical April temperatures in Indio range from 76°F to 92°F.

The giant coffee company joined Coachella as a sponsor this year, with the highly anticipated blended Unicorn Frappuccino headlining its menu.

The neon-soaked sugar bomb is exclusive to the Starbucks Coffeehouse pop-up located deep within the Coachella festival grounds.

The bright pink and purple-swirled drink has a mango syrup base and a sour blue drizzle that’s topped off with pink and blue dusted whipped cream.

The “emblem of color” is only available for a few hours each day of the festival. The pop-up also doubled as a cooling station.
