Meet Wall Street’s baby-faced new finance bros — they flash K Rolex watches, wear Celine suits and say life in NYC costs too much

Their stocks are up.

Interview magazine has profiled four young Wall Streeters for its March issue — with the baby-faced bankers dishing on their dating lives, fledgling finance careers and favourite places to blow off steam in the city.

The cashed-up quartet, who all live in Lower Manhattan, also posed for pictures at FiDi steakhouse Delmonico’s for their feature, flexing their Celine suits, Hermès ties and Rolex watches as they talked about their high-paid, high-pressure jobs in the industry.

However, on social media, some readers weren’t buying what Interview magazine was selling.

Some cynics accused the magazine of “rage bait” with its profile of the Gen Z bankers, while others wondered whether the piece was “satire.”

“I’m laughing so hard at this,” one cynic snarked on Instagram beneath a description of what Interview described as “the finest boys in finance.”

Tommy Doherty, 25, an Associate Vice President on the Foreign Exchange Sales and Trading desk at Barclays, was one of the fresh-faced financiers featured in the Interview spread.

The Big Apple bachelor admitted he was on the elite dating app Raya and had splashed “a few thousand dollars on a work desk” for his Tribeca apartment, even though he had “never worked from home before.”

Despite his young age, Doherty has already developed mature tastes, declaring his drink of choice to be a dirty martini and his favorite restaurants to be The Odeon and Monkey Bar.

For bachelorettes looking to bag the finance bro, the banker spends his spare time at The New York Athletic Club, where he works out up to five times a week.

Doherty was seen rocking a Rolex watch in his photo shoot, with the model appearing to be a Datejust 16200, which can retail for around $10,000.

Meanwhile, Dallas native Demarre Johnson, 23, is another of Interview’s young up-and-comers, wowing on Wall Street as an AI analyst at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The recent college grad already has his finance bro uniform sorted, telling Interview that he owns “six vests and seven Vineyard Vines quarter zips.”

For the magazine photoshoot, he rocked a Hermès tie and a pricey Bvlgari watch.

Johnson told Interview that he purchased a fancy $14,000 piece of art “that is simply a bunch of lines” and quipped that his idea of hell is “not making his family proud.”

Mason Clarke, 24, who graduated from Columbia and is an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs, also appears in the Interview profile.

The FiDi resident says he gets “five to six [hours of sleep] on a good night” and declared that “mediocrity” was his “idea of hell.”

Clarke, who has a girlfriend, enjoys a glass of Chianti and said his best financial advice was to “live below your means, invest early, and don’t build the lifestyle before you build the foundation.”

Clay Nelson, 25, rounded out the “four of the finest boys in finance profile.”

Like Clarke, Nelson graduated from an Ivy League school (Cornell) and works at Goldman Sachs. He says he’s currently on the lookout for a long-term love and can be found on the dating app Hinge.

Far from being a cheap date, the West Village resident takes dates to swanky spots such as Jac’s on Bond and Bar Pisellino.

The four young financiers are featured in the March issue of Interview, where they discuss their Wall Street work hours and their favorite NYC hotspots.

And while he has a fancy $3000 Moncler winter coat, Nelson’s finance bro wardrobe is a little lacking given that he “only” owns four vests.

But far from being unrelatable, he says young Wall Streeters are just like every other Gen Z New Yorker, hating on the high cost of living.

“It feels like you have to tap your card just to leave your apartment,” he bemoaned of the Big Apple.
