Millennial mom slammed for teaching her kids not to share: ‘They don’t have to’

She said what she said.

One mom’s hot take on not teaching her kids to share with others has gone viral — and people online have a lot to say about it.

Arizona mom, Lonnie Weaver, often posts relatable mom content, but one recent video about her kids not having to share with other little ones struck a nerve with many.

In the video, with 1.2 million views and a caption that reads, “I said it and I’ll say it again, I don’t make my kids share!” while sitting in a parked car, the 32-year-old says to the camera, “My kids don’t have to share their toys or their snacks, or literally any of their things with your kids.”

The millennial mom further explained her parenting style, saying, “If we are out and about at the park… some communal play place, if my kids have a scooter, toys… they’re not sharing with your kids, they don’t have to. I’ll never ever make my kids share their stuff that they brought with another child.”

Weaver drives home her point by explaining: “#1, you should’ve brought your own s–t. #2, that’s their toy, they don’t have to share with you. #3, you don’t have to do something just because somebody else asked… if my kids want to share, sure go along for it.’”

But at the end of the day, Weaver feels — “Your mommy should’ve brought your own toys.”

Yikes.

The Post reached out to Weaver for comment.

Sure, every parent has their own way of doing things, but many in the comment section, other moms and even teachers believe sharing with others is one of the first rules that must be taught to children for them to become decent humans.

“I hope my kids will not just share but gift their food and possessions to anyone who asks,” one rebutted.

“Kindness will come first in my household…this is weird,” another chimed in.

“As a teacher this hurts my heart,” quipped a commenter.

“Oof. I tell my kids don’t bring toys if you’re not willing to share it,” said someone else.

“I’m so sad as a teacher this is literally the foundation of learning…” read another comment.

I disagree. My kiddo will definitely be sharing. ESPECIALLY if another kiddo doesn’t have a toy,” pointed out another shocked parent.
