Influencer Allison Kuch is proving, once again, that moms really can do it all — including running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon just six months after giving birth.
“Six months postpartum, still haven’t slept through the night, mastitis, missed training runs and I’m still here!!!” Kuch, 31, wrote via Instagram on Friday, October 30, sharing footage of herself picking up her race bib. “So excited to run with maybelline in my first marathon and running FOR mental health!!”
Kuch, who gave birth to daughter Pepper in April, will tackle the 26.2-mile course throughout the five boroughs of New York City on Sunday, November 1.
“I can’t give up on my dreams, my daughters are watching,” she added via Instagram.
Kuch and her husband, Isaac Rochell, are also parents of 2-year-old daughter Scottie. Rochell, 31, and the couple’s two girls will be cheering on Kuch on race day.
“Made it to the expo!!!” Kuch wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, going to collect up her registration gear. “Crazy that 60,000 people come through here and pick up their bibs lol.”
Kuch also made a point to visit the race’s official Lactation Support booth.
“Fun fact — there are ‘lactation stations’ along the route, so you don’t have to pack a [breast] pump,” she explained. “They have pumps provided at the start line and there’s three stops on the route.”
Kuch, who is still nursing baby Pepper, has been candid about her postpartum experience.
“When people ask, ‘How are you doing postpartum?’ My brain goes to two places: sleep and mental health,” Kuch told Rochell on the latest episode of their “Couldn’t Agree Less” Netflix podcast. “Here’s my issue with postpartum: Everyone worries about the baby, about birth [in the moment]. … Four months postpartum, nobody’s checking in, and I would say that’s the hardest time of postpartum.”
She continued, “Four months postpartum is hard because you’re out of newborn-ness, your baby’s more aware, they don’t want to be set down, you’re going through the four-month sleep regression, you’re still breast-feeding. People are expecting you to be back and, like, mama is not back.”
According to Kuch, her postpartum experience has been widely different after each birth journey.
“I think probably trying to do it all [is my biggest challenge now],” she candidly admitted. “It’s a me issue, I think, actually. I just feel like I want to be back as much as other people are assuming I’m back. I wanna wake up and go work out and have a morning routine and put a skincare product on my face. Then, when I wake up, I’m like, ‘But, she’s only so little for this long.’ I feel like I should give her all of my time.”
