INDIO, Calif. () — Severe weather forced the Head Trip house music festival in Indio to suspend the show for the night on Saturday before headliner Calvin Harris was able to take the stage.
A message was sent out on screens and over a loudspeaker at the festival, warning attendees to return to their vehicles and seek shelter from lightning in the area.
Before the show was canceled, festival organizers had already adjusted the schedule, trying to avoid the expected lightning.
It’s unknown what impact the storm may have on Sunday’s lineup. Rain chances are higher on Sunday, with much of SoCal expected to see showers through Tuesday.
