There’s a new twist in the massive lettuce recall due to the cyclospora outbreak.
The FDA now says there was a false-positive result when testing Taylor Farms lettuce for the parasite, causing thousands of illnesses across the country.
Taylor Farms has already pulled dozens of products sourced from central Mexico, and distributed across 27 states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Despite the false positive, the recall is still on due to possible contamination.
The FDA and state partners continue to collect and analyze product samples.
Cyclosporiasis cases happen every year, but there have been more reported this year than in general.
