Brandi Glanville is sharing her fears as she prepares to undergo facial surgery after enduring ongoing health issues.
“I’m super nervous about this facial surgery tomorrow and I’m nervous about what my face will look like after but health is wealth and that’s all I truly want,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 53, wrote via X on Thursday, October 22.
Glanville further opened up about the upcoming surgery in the Thursday episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast, revealing she was feeling both “super excited” and “scared to death” about the procedure.
“Dr. Carlo Henrado is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin,” she explained on the podcast.
Glanville added that Dr. Henrado planned to target two areas under her skin that could be “fungal balls or something alive.”
“I think it’s alive, personally, because it moves when it wants,” she said.
Glanville explained that the procedure itself is intense, again likening it to a “power washer.”
“He’s, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s**t. And then he’s spinning my blood and doing this platelet thing on the inside of my face,” Glanville said. She then quipped, “We might not want my blood at this point.”

Glanville initially suspected she may have a facial parasite when she first exhibited signs of disfigurement in 2023. More recently, she was diagnosed with a “highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis” after spending more than $113,000 on treatment options, with mixed results.
Earlier this month, she used her podcast to share an update on her mysterious condition and spoke about exploring surgery options.

“Something is in my face, eating it. I know they’re going to find that out when they go in there,” she told listeners on the October 8 episode of the “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast. “I’ve scheduled exploratory surgery in a couple weeks. I have two appointments this week. I am so excited. These past four years, I didn’t think I was going to make it.”
In September, Glanville cried on her podcast as she shared that one of her friends had launched a GoFundMe to help with the costs associated with her continuing health woes.
“I’m on all of this crazy medication, [and] even with my insurance, it’s $7,000 a week. Then, I have creditors calling me all day,” Glanville shared on the September 11 episode of her podcast. “[My friend], Gina, started a GoFundMe for me. I’m embarrassed, honestly, ‘cause I don’t like to ask for help.”
