The Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles running back and H. Moser & Cie. brand ambassador Saquon Barkley has teamed up with the Swiss watch manufacturer on a grail watch. Called the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Aventurine Saquon Barkley Edition, the timepiece debuts this month in a limited-edition run of 97 pieces.
“It just feels like … homey,” the football hero and fashion icon tells Alexa. “It feels like me. I think it’s timeless. The white rubber strap makes it pop out, but it’s not loud. The details in the watch are super critical for me, and I think they’re amazing.”
His sporty-chic model, priced at $99,000, features a skeletonized dial with an aventurine domed sub-dial, a see-through caseback, indices in Super-LumiNova, and hour and minute hands with Globolight inserts.
Barkley wanted a versatile design that reflects his active lifestyle. “I could wear it on a golf course. I could wear it if I’m going to dinner. I could wear it if I’m doing an event, to present or hopefully win an award. Then, I could work out with it.”
The elite athlete, who holds the record for most combined regular-season and playoff rushing yards during his historic 2024-25 championship run, didn’t have a watch until he went pro. “I never was a watch guy growing up,” he says. “I think once you get to the NFL, you see all the vets throwing on some nice watches, and that kind of intrigues you a little bit.”
His signature timepiece is already a standout. “I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback on it, and my family, friends and teammates are excited. Especially Big Dom,” he added, referring to beloved longtime Eagles staffer Dom DiSandro. “Big Dom’s a big watch guy, so he’s super excited about it.”
Barkley wore an H. Moser Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack watch to the 2025 Met Gala, then became a brand ambassador last fall.
Bertrand Meylan, co-owner of the house, says the partnership comes from an authentic place. “We look for people who share the same mindset we bring to watchmaking: a relentless drive to improve, a respect for craftsmanship and the confidence to do things their own way. Saquon has built his career through consistency, discipline and an incredible work ethic, and those are qualities we admire because they’re very much part of our own culture.”
Meylan used Barkley’s favorite watch — the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton — as a jumping-off point. “It was the first H. Moser watch he owned, and we’ve seen him wear it everywhere, from training on the field to black-tie events for The Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation. Its versatility and everyday wearability made it the perfect foundation for creating a piece that felt genuinely his.”
“The first look they presented kind of hit for me,” says Barkley. “Obviously, we made some touches and worked on some details, but it’s a lot easier when you’re working with a great brand and people who’ve been making watches for a very long time.”
