WEST HOLLYWOOD () — Another water main break sent water rushing on a street in West Hollywood Thursday morning, one week after another pipe burst nearby which left widespread damage in the neighborhood.
The new incident happened on Santa Monica Boulevard and Laurel Avenue around 6 a.m. AIR7 was over the scene where there was a large amount of water percolating out from the ground and onto the sidewalk and street, but there did not appear to be as much as damage as last week’s break.

Just two miles away from that scene, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews were working to repair a massive sinkhole on Sunset Boulevard that was left behind following last week’s flooding.
The two water main breaks are not believed to be related, a source told Eyewitness News.
