Vanessa Trump received support from the Trump family and many friends after announcing her breast cancer diagnosis.
On May 20, 2026, Vanessa — who was married to ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018 — confirmed that she was seeking treatment for cancer. (Donald Jr. and Vanessa share daughters Kai Madison, 19, and Chloe Sophia, 11, as well as sons Donald III, 17, Tristan Milos, 14 and Spencer Frederick, 13.)
“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” Trump wrote via Instagram at the time. “I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me. I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”
Vanessa thanked the public for their “kindness and support” while asking for her privacy to be respected as she seeks treatment.
“I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and my recovery,” she closed her note.
Various friends and family sent Vanessa their well-wishes via social media, though her boyfriend, Tiger Woods, has yet to offer any public comment.
Vanessa and Woods have been in a relationship since late 2024. She recently stood by Woods following his March 2026 arrest on charges of DUI, property damage and refusal to submit a lawful (urine) test after he was involved in a rollover car accident in Florida.
(The athlete confirmed via a March 31, 2026, statement that he was “stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health.” Woods reportedly entered a treatment facility in Switzerland on April 3 but was later spotted back home in Palm Beach, Florida on May 13, 2026.)
