Vanderpump Rules’ alum Dayna Kathan made Pride 2026 special by coming out as a lesbian.
“Shout out to my fellow late in life lesbians!!” Kathan, 35, wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 8. “HAPPY PRIDE!!! 🧡🤍🩷.”
The former reality star’s post included a series of snaps of her and her friends celebrating Pride. She can be seen with pals Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo, Mara Beauty founder Allison McNamara and more. (Shomo also recently came out as gay.)
In one pic, Kathan can be spotted wearing a tank top that had the word gay emblazoned across her chest.
Several of Kathan’s former Vanderpump Rules costars flocked to the comments section to show their support.
“My favorite lesbian! I love you so much!!!!” Katie Maloney wrote while Ariana Madix gushed, “ilysm!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Scheana Shay also sent her love writing “Ilyyyyyyyy” alongside several pride flag emojis.
Shomo, 33, also shared his love for Kathan responding in the comments, “Lysm gay girl 🖤🖤🖤.”
In a follow-up post shared via her Instagram Story, Kathan opened up about the struggles she faced before accepting herself.
“My journey with queerness wasn’t linear, and at times very scary and confusing,” she wrote on Wednesday, June 10. “I had to unpack a lot of s*** to get to this point. All of this to say, if you aren’t out and struggling — take your time. You will get there. And it’s pretty fab on the other side.
Kathan made her first appearance as a guest on Vanderpump Rules season 7, which aired in 2019. The following season, she was promoted to a series regular. Kathan ended up leaving the show after that but returned as a guest during season 11.
While on the Bravo series, Kathan previously came out as bisexual in a conversation with Madix, who is also bisexual.
“That was my first L.A. Pride ever though… but then I also came out as bi,” Kathan said in a February 2020 episode while she and Madix attended Pride 2019. “I just feel so much lighter now that that’s out there.”
Madix, for her part, shared that this was her “first Pride publicly out as a bisexual queen.”
In a confessional, Kathan talked about being drawn to girls and boys as a young teen.
“I think that I knew in middle school that I was different,” she recalled. “I just remember noticing both genders.”
After leaving Vanderpump Rules, Kathan teamed up with Maloney to launch their “Disrespectfully” podcast, where they serve as cohosts.
