‘Tis the season.
A new analysis revealed the best destinations for Christmas tours in 2025 — and the results probably come as no surprise.
Data from Tripadvisor and Kayak, analyzed by Privacy Journal, has revealed which cities have the best Christmas tour experiences worldwide.
Privacy Journal looked at four factors: the number of tours available, median price per hour of the tour, average number of languages offered and average hotel rate per night in December.
While no U.S. cities made the overall top 10, the top destination in America was, of course, New York City.
The home of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, Fifth Avenue holiday window displays, the Rockettes, holiday markets and more ranked highest in the country and 14th globally.
Out of the 33 destinations ranked, New York came in first for Christmas tours available — tied with London. The Big Apple ranked 16th for median price per hour, 26th for available languages, and 33rd for average price per night in December, giving the greatest city in the world a total score of 49.8.
Two other American cities made the list, with Branson, Missouri, coming in at 16th place and Savannah, Georgia, in 17th.

Nine of the top 10 destinations were European cities, with the exception of another North American city, Quebec City, Canada, in the No. 8 spot.
London was the best overall city for Christmas tours, according to the findings, tying in the top spot for Christmas tours available.
“London transforms into a Christmas spectacular each December, offering many Christmas tours that cater to every festive fantasy,” the analysis said. “From traditional walking tours through Victorian era markets at Greenwich and Southbank to exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences at historic palaces adorned with seasonal decorations, the British capital delivers Christmas magic at every turn.”
The findings noted that London didn’t have the most languages offered with a ranking score of 26 — just like New York — but it makes up for it with lower prices and “the sheer breadth of free festive attractions — including the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree and Covent Garden’s decorations.”
In second place was Amsterdam, Netherlands, followed by Nuremberg, Germany, in third place. Rounding out the top five were Zagreb, Croatia, and Strasbourg, France, in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
