Tori Spelling Wants to ‘Celebrate’ Life With Her Kids After Car Crash, Patrick Muldoon’s Death (Exclusive)

Tori Spelling is taking the time to be present and appreciate life after she was involved in a car crash with her kids and in the wake of her ex Patrick Muldoon’s untimely death.

“You have to celebrate it,” Spelling, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, May 1, while attending Calamigos Ranch Resort & Spa’s Leading Hotels of the World accreditation celebration. “And I think life’s too short, and we’re all realizing that lately. So, yeah, you have to celebrate every day. “

Us previously confirmed that Spelling and seven children in her vehicle were hospitalized after being involved in a car accident. Four of her kids and three of their friends were transported in three separate ambulances, according to the actress’ rep. (Spelling shares Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9, with ex-husband Dean McDermott. McDermott also shares Jack, 25, with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace.)

“On April 2, 2026, at 5:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 28000 block of Rancho California Road regarding a vehicle collision,” the Riverside Sheriff’s Department said in a statement provided to Us at the time. “Upon arrival, deputies located two vehicles with collision damage. All occupants were medically evaluated at the scene.”

The 90210 star broke her silence days later, calling the crash and aftermath “really overwhelming.”

“We are so grateful and so lucky because it could have been so much worse,” Spelling said in a video shared via social media on April 7. “Guardian angels were definitely with us that day because in a split second I looked and saw he was going to full on impact into the side of our car. And I turned hard left as hard as I could, as fast as I could, to avoid as much impact on the children as possible. He spun us out.”

Weeks later, Days of Our Lives actor Muldoon died on April 19 following a heart attack. Spelling remembered her ex, who she met on a blind date, in a touching social media post.

“This post took me a couple days,” Spelling, 52, wrote via Instagram on April 21. “I wasn’t ready to write because then it felt real. And, this shouldn’t be real. @thepatrickmuldoon and I met on a blind date. Which thankfully wasn’t a blind date at all because we were both on a tv series. Like every other girl in the world I crushed on his character Austin from Days of Our Lives. Not sure I ever disclosed that to him.”

She continued, “What I met and ultimately fell in love w/ was not just a beautiful on the outside creature but the most beautiful soul. He was special and one of a kind. The kindest most caring human w/ raddest weird sense of humor. We got each other! Laughed a lot ! I laughed w/him and at him and he loved it. Was multi talented. Passionate about everything he did.”

On Friday, Spelling told Us that despite her recent hardship and loss, she is looking forward to the future.

“Well, I can wait on this one but one day, one day, one day, I can’t wait to grow our family and be a grandma and a great grandma,” she explained. “We had a small family growing up. I obviously have a big family now. I’ve seen through my older kids finding their partners and getting to know their family.”

Tori Spelling has a lot of feelings about being single. “I just started having a therapy in a really long time, and I just started with a new therapist,” Spelling, 51, said during the Friday, April 4, episode of her “Misspelling” podcast, where she chatted with friend and guest Aubrey O’Day. “We’re going all back […]

She added, “I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, I see the future’ and it’s not right now, but I can’t wait to be that grandma and great grandma, and have so many grandchildren and babies running around and cooking for them and celebrating life with them.”

In the more immediate future, the actress says she’s looking forward to celebrating Mother’s Day with her children.

“Just being with my babies and doing what they want to do,” she added.
