Since time immemorial, men of the world have been devising various ways to enhance their endowment, ranging from various diets to penis-plumping fillers.
Now, Marks & Spencer has gifted us a new weapon in the battle of the bulge — form-fitting boxer trunks that give wearers a “2-inch lift.”
The super-snug “Secret Support Trunks” feature an “internal pouch, designed to provide exceptional comfort, added support, and a discreet lift,” per the site.
Although per the picture, this sexual shapewear seems anything but discreet — like a push-up bra for the penis.
To enhance the effect, the bulge-embellishing boxers are constructed from uber-soft and malleable modal cotton and even come with an elastic, monogrammed waist for maximum snugness.
Mitch Hughes, the director of menswear at M&S, said the “clever” design is about “helping men feel their most confident,” the Guardian reported.
The manhood-maximizing pants, which run around $37 a pair, were reportedly launched by influencers Tom Sheard and Stanley Dru, who modeled them on their Instagram pages.
“Size isn’t everything, but confidence is,” said Dru. “And these GENIUS boxers are their first of their kind, providing a 2-inch lift and shaping BOOOST.”
Sheard billed the 21st-century codpiece as offering “a little boost for the boys” with “comfort, shape, and confidence, all in a boxer!”
“It’s not about pretending, it’s about presenting,” he declared. “And the best part? No one needs to know it’s not all you…”
So far, the Secret Support Trunks are receiving mixed reviews online with 3.5 out of 5 stars on the Marks & Spencer website.
One wearer said the fit felt “very good” on initial use. “Too early to say for sure but the early signs are positive. They feel a good supportive fit, but light and airy too.”
However, another shopper wasn’t too impressed with their performance, awarding them just one star. “Disappointing. Requires constant readjustment. If you are looking for support for the ‘boys’, try elsewhere.”
Meanwhile, Dru and Sheard’s followers are thrilled with the “genius” innovation, filling their social media pages with praise.
While organ-accenting couture might seem amusing, it’s not as far-fetched as some other pants that have hit the market of late.
In October, Skims’ bigwig Kim Kardashian came under fire after unveiling panties festooned with faux pubic hair in a variety of colors, lengths and textures.
However, others hailed the tufty thong as genius.
“The Kardashians, as a brand, thrive off of controversy and shock factor,” Amelia Ward, a Manhattanite brand strategist for luxury fashion and beauty lines, told the Post.
She credited the celebrity sisters with “dictating what version of the female form we collectively lust after.”
