Don’t kick the bucket.
Lowe’s viral obsession is back in stock with a new twist.
Shoppers went nuts for the home improvement store’s food-safe mini buckets last fall, which came in the Lowe’s brand’s signature blue. But now — and just in time for Valentine’s Day — they’re pink.
The new buckets are already taking over social media as shoppers race to get their hands on the coveted item.
The 0.4-quart buckets are sold for just under $2, are BPA-free with food-grade plastic, and come with a lid, so there’s a bucketful of innovative ways to use them.
Fans are already coming up with creative ways to put the mini bucket to use.
One social media user turned it into a cup for iced coffee, filling it with ice and pouring in milk and two shots of espresso then topping it with whipped cream and colorful sprinkles.
The person noted that they’re planning to drill a hole in the top of the lid to use it as a cup on the go.
Others have shown that they’re using their mini pink buckets to hold things such as candy and snacks, tools, batteries, art supplies, stationery, plants, small toys and accessories.
People in the comments offered their unique and specific ideas, too, such as wine cups, salsa containers, and a place to store makeup brushes or $75 worth of quarters.
“Just leaving Lowe’s and the sales associate shared with me that you can also put food in them. She suggested taking soup to work for lunch,” one person shared.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, they’re also great for a Galentine’s Day bucket of sweets.
Many said that utilizing the Lowe’s pink mini bucket for everyday uses is a “perfect way to add whimsy to your day.”
“Why am I OBSESSED with this bucket?” another user commented.
“In your construction era,” one wrote. “Lowe’s is for the girlies too.”
According to the website, over 100,000 were already sold just last week, and they’re available to purchase both online and in stores for $1.98.
Lowe’s noted that the buckets can withstand up to 212°F, making them safe for hot beverages — though they are not suitable for hot fried food.
