Terrifying video shows Steel Max slingshot ride at Spain’s ‘Feria de Abril’ snap mid-air, injuring 4 people

SEVILLE, Spain () — Terrifying video shows the moment a slingshot ride snapped mid-air during “Feria de Abril,” a popular fair in Seville, Spain, on Friday.

The ride capsule, part of the Steel Max attraction, flung into the air before the cable broke and sent it crashing into the steel support structure on the side. A woman’s screams could be heard while other spectators ran away.

Four people sustained minor injuries and received on-site treatment, including two children. Two of those people were inside the ride and were later taken to a medical center, according to local officials.

The video circulated widely on social media, and law enforcement said it’s now part of an investigation.
