Even for frequent flyers, airport connections are stressful. After just a few minutes’ delay, our palms start to sweat, our knees are weak, and we are certainly not looking calm or ready.

Thankfully, this popular flight app has just launched a new feature that hopes to take the stress out of transfers.
Flighty’s new connection assistant builds a step-by-step guide on what you need to do before your next flight – like clearing security, claiming and rechecking bags, or transferring between terminals – and gives the typical times for each.
You can even add in your booking class and share your citizenship so it can predict how long you will need for passport control, taking into account things like whether or not you can use the e-gates.
The most impressive element of the new feature is the gate predictions. Using historical gate data for your flight, the app can predict your arrival and departure gates down to the concourse or gate range.
The app can even predict the exact gate on the day of your connection. (We cannot stress enough the importance of double checking this on the airport screens!).
Flighty’s new feature is available now for Pro users.
Other features on Flighty
One for the AV geeks among us, one of the best features is the Flighty Passport.
Kind of like Spotify Unwrapped but for planes, you can add in all your previous flight details and it will tell you things like how many hours you’ve spent in the sky, how far you’ve flown, and how many airlines or airports you’ve used.
You can also find out details about the planes you’ve flown with, including their type, age and tail number.
On a more practical note, Flighty can keep you up-to-date ahead of an upcoming flight, with alerts for check-in reminders, cancellations, delays, gate changes and more.
