Small brush fire burns along 605 Freeway in Irwindale

IRWINDALE, Calif. () — Firefighters are battling a brush fire near the southbound 605 Freeway in Irwindale.

The Arrow Fire broke out just after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday in the 2300 block of Buena Vista Street.

Ground crews and at least one firefighting helicopter were called to the scene.

AIR7 video from above the scene shows smoke billowing over the freeway as firefighters worked on the ground.

At last check, the fire had grown to about 10 acres, and California Highway Patrol had closed a few lanes of the freeway.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, no structures are threatened, and no evacuations have been ordered.
