There’s 24 karat magic in the air.

Skechers gifted Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane a one-of-a-kind pair of SKX_2 Elite “Mark of Greatness” cleats emblazoned with gold leaf, along with a personalized gold signet ring from an English heritage jeweler. The bespoke boots and bling were custom-made to celebrate the soccer star’s Ballon d’Or win in London this week.

Hurrikane, as he is called, is the first English player in 25 years to win the prestigious award. Hat-trick Harry, who is also England’s captain, scored a record-breaking 73 goals in 65 matches across all competitions in the 2025/26 season.

To commemorate Kane’s trophy, at 4 am EST on Oct. 30 the sneaker giant dropped 73 pairs of limited-edition SKX_2 Elite “Mark of Greatness” boots – one for every goal – in gold and white. Available for $225 on Soccer.com, the cleats feature Kane’s signature golden detailing on the Skechers “S” logo and a gold-color soleplate (it’s not real gold, but it gleams). Each box contains a collector’s edition publication tracing Kane’s exemplary season, as seen through the lens of Skechers.

Skechers presented Kane, who was crowned the world’s best soccer player this week, with a bespoke gold signet ring and gold-leaf cleats. Skechers

“Winning the Ballon d’Or after such a memorable year of goals, trophies and special milestones was an incredible honor, and to receive this award in my hometown made it even more special,” said Kane in a statement. “Having Skechers design a bespoke boot to mark this achievement makes it even more special. I’m looking forward to wearing them on the pitch.”

The 33-year-old has been a Skechers athlete since 2023, the same year the company debuted in soccer.

Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, praised Kane’s remarkable consistency, excellence, leadership, influence and big-match temperament. “When the world’s greatest wears Skechers,” he added, “it’s all the evidence athletes at any level need to know that our footwear will deliver wherever and however they play.”

Kane’s personalized ring was created by Deakin & Francis, England’s oldest family-run manufacturing jeweler. It’s etched with an English lion holding a key with the number 73 and his initials.

The ring makes an unexpected appearance in Skechers buzzy new campaign film called Mark of Greatness . The mysterious ad shows a bespectacled craftsman working on the gold signet ring.

Ballon d’Or, which means Golden Ball in French, is the world’s most esteemed individual soccer award, the equivalent of a global MVP. The winners are chosen by an international panel of 100 journalists representing the top 100 nations in the FIFA men’s world rankings. Kane, who captains England, also won men’s Striker of the Year.

All in all, it was a golden occasion.
