Savannah Chrisley Explains Why She Loves Age-Gap Relationship With New Boyfriend of 1 Year

Savannah Chrisley has no regrets about dating an older man.

“We’ve been together for a year,” Chrisley, 28 said, on the Tuesday, June 16, episode of the “Whine Down” podcast, revealing her intentions to keep her romance private. “He’s great … you can only hide for so long. We met through the political world of D.C., he’s a financial guy, and he is, like, the calmest, sweetest human being in the entire world.”

Chrisley announced last month that she is monogamously dating a man who has not been publicly identified.

“He tells me all the time. He’s like, ‘Just do what you want to do, you don’t have to do what you don’t want to do, just do what you want to do,’” she said. “He’s my biggest cheerleader, and he knows nothing about the whole TV world. … He’s not intimidated by my success, which is so great.”

Savannah Chrisley is back off the market and she may have found The One. “I am dating someone. I am extremely happy and extremely fulfilled in life,” Chrisley, 28, said on the Tuesday, May 19, episode of her “Unlocked” podcast. “I feel like where I am at in life is the moment that I had […]

Chrisley continued, “I feel like so many women in today’s day and age are the primary breadwinners for their family and they feel like they have to dim their light in order to make their partner feel better, and I’m like, ‘No.’ First off, he does way better than I do, and I love

that because I’m like, ‘I don’t have to. You’re not intimidated by me. You think what I do is great. You don’t try to stifle me.’ He’s built his businesses, so now he’s kind of loving life and now he’s like, ‘You go do your thing.’”

According to Chrisley, her beau’s level of “support” is different from her past relationships.

“I also think it’s how different my body in general feels for the first time in my life, I feel such ease and safety,” she said. “Even when he moved to Nashville, [in] the first few weeks, I was exhausted, and I’m like, ‘Why am I so exhausted? I’m going to therapy.’ My therapist is like, ‘Because for the first time in your life, you actually feel safe, so your nervous system is just crashing.’ I’m like, ‘Makes sense.’”

Savannah Chrisley’s search for The One has included public breakups — some of which played out on Chrisley Knows Best — and under-the-radar romances. Following her broken engagement to Nic Kerdiles in 2020, Chrisley jumped back into the dating pool. She was briefly linked to country singer Matt Snell in 2022, but it didn’t grow […]

Savannah also thinks her man is The One, though it admittedly took her father, Todd Chrisley, a minute to approve of the pairing.

“There was a little bit of an age gap, so my dad was not too fond [of] that, but now loves him,” she said, coyly adding “we’re up there” when host Jana Kramer asked whether Savannah and her boyfriend have an 18-year age difference. “You see, age-gap relationships are the new thing. … There’s all these couples that [have] a huge age-gap relationship, but it just works, like, it’s insane. I love it because you’re not dealing with the insecurity of a younger guy who’s trying to keep up.”

Savannah, who stressed her boyfriend is younger than 57-year-old Todd, further gushed that it is “the healthiest relationship” she’s ever had.

“He loves him,” she gushed of her dad’s friendship with her boyfriend. “We’re [also] going to therapy. We don’t need therapy. In the year we’ve been together, we’ve never yelled at each other, we’ve never name-called, none of that, but still go to therapy together because we’re like, ‘Let’s do it before we actually need to do it.’ It’s the greatest.”
