Santa Monica police involved in shooting at end of chase in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES () — Santa Monica police officers were involved in a shooting at the end of chase in South Los Angeles overnight.

The incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. as the pursuit ended near Hoover and 85th street, according to the Santa Monica Police Department. It’s not clear why the chase started or if anyone was hit in the shooting.

The Los Angeles Police Department and L.A. County Sheriff’s Department were on scene helping with the investigation.
