Enemy at the e-gates?

An enraged Chinese passenger was apprehended after attacking an airport’s automated passport gates in Thailand, as seen in wild footage.

The flyer, Zheng Liwei, 30, had been trying to pass through the checkpoint at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok on Wednesday, May 13, Viral Press reported.

However, he mistakenly tried to scan his plane ticket rather than his passport and grew frustrated when the high-tech barrier remained shut.

That’s when he decided to besiege the gate, which was one of dozens rolled out several years back to expedite the customs process. Footage shows Zheng trying to scan his boarding pass repeatedly but to no avail, after which he proceeded to slap the gate and then kick it open partway in a fit of rage.

The scanner still displayed a red X, prompting the irate traveler to slam his passport down at another checkpoint.

When he was greeted with the same error message, Zheng booted open both glass doors, setting off alarms.

The hellion then proceeded to walk through but was intercepted by security personnel, who tackled him to the ground.

The clip concluded with his girlfriend attempting to calm down her incensed beau while in custody at the terminal.

“The f–king machine was not working,” Zheng raged. “What do you want me to do? Are you f–king stupid?”

And that was only the tip of the iceberg.

According to authorities, the bombastic bozo was detained after attempting to attack immigration staff and ended up missing his flight out of the country.

Zheng was charged with property damage, a crime that can carry up to a three-year prison sentence, an approximately $1,836 fine, or both.

He had to pay $13,777 for the gate destruction and was also charged with insulting officials on duty, punishable by up to one year in jail and/or fines.

If that wasn’t enough, the miscreant had his visa revoked, will be deported once legal proceedings have concluded, and faces a lifetime travel ban.

“Thailand welcomes all tourists of all nationalities who respect the Thai people and Thailand,” said Police Lieutenant General Panumas Bunyalak, Commander of the Immigration Bureau.

“Any conduct or actions that violate basic morals, whether criminal or otherwise, will result in visa revocation and deportation.”
