Neither arrest nor social media bans have stopped Andrew Tate’s influence over young men — as loyal fans keep his brand going

Neither arrest nor social media bans have stopped Andrew Tate’s influence over young men — as loyal fans keep his brand going

Not even a whopping 59 criminal charges against manosphere influencer Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, can snuff out their reach. In fact, the controversy may have only activated their young fanbase.

It all may come as a surprise to parents who assume that the brothers’ multiple arrests meant their sons are no longer being indoctrinated by the Tates’ brand of self-described misogyny.

But since the siblings were arrested on July 18, this time by federal marshals on a sealed warrant in Miami where they now face potential extradition to the United Kingdom, followers have blasted out their content and videos on social media — including sites where Tristan and Andrew are banned.

The Post reached out to the brothers’ lawyers and did not receive a response.

On their Telegram channel, where the brothers have frequently issued personal updates, an unknown source apparently posting on their behalf even sent a message Tuesday from Andrew.

“If I was really a sexual predator like grooming gangs, Prince Andrew, BBC Presenters, or Lord Mandelson (Epstein’s Best Friend), the British Police would not be hunting me around the globe. They would be protecting me,” read the message that went out to more than 300,000 followers.

Andrew’s X, Rumble and Telegram accounts have remained active, too, posting content like a pre-recorded interview with him discussing his arrest before it happened. “I have a terrible suspicion that I won’t make it to trial,” he told podcaster Jack Neely in the video, which was filmed in May. “They tried to get one guy — me — for doing what? Encouraging men to go to the f—king gym.”

It’s unclear who is posting for them, but it’s not the first time Andrew and Tristan Tate have been lifted up by supporters when in need. In fact, Andrew himself has said his fans, rather than employees, have done so in the past.

In a March 2025 interview with Patrick Bet-David, he described those fans as 90% male, and generally aged 16 to 30.

A 2026 academic analysis of 112,466 Andrew Tate-related YouTube videos has found that, even after Andrew’s official channels and videos were removed from that platform — he was banned from it in 2022 for violating terms and conditions a hate speech policy — his messaging continued to proliferate through a decentralized network of fan accounts, interview clips, edits and remixes.

“I don’t think that Tate’s recent arrest changes much,” said Bernhard Rieder, University of Amsterdam professor and author of the study, referring to the Andrew’s social media reach. “When we looked into Tate’s presence on social media and specifically YouTube, we found tens of thousands of channels that repost and mine his stuff.”

Despite the heinous charges the brothers are facing, for many of their fans, Saturday’s arrest represents the oppression of a truth-speaking hero who has taught them what no one else in today’s world will.

“Saved many young men of this generation… Hate him or love him, they needed a hero,” one X user posted, alongside an AI generated image of Andrew depicted as a fallen knight.

It’s a notion amplified by those in the brothers’ inner circle.

“If these men inspired you, if they pulled you off the couch and into the fight, you owe them,” their attorney, Joe McBride, posted on X. “Stop asking what they can give you. Give back. Step up. Speak up. Fight. Everything is on the line.”

Siddharth Venkataramakrishnan, an analyst at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue in the United Kingdom, told The Post that “though Tate doesn’t have the same mainstream attention he did in the past, he is still an important figure in the manosphere as a whole and it would be wrong to write him off.”

Since arriving in the United States in February of last year from Romania — where they were arrested in 2022 as part of an investigation into alleged human trafficking — Andrew and Tristan have worked hard to retain their relevance in the manosphere ecosystem, with much success.

Both were tweeting several times a day, as Elon Musk has reinstated their banned accounts after acquiring the platform in 2022. Their channel on Rumble, “Tate Speech,” has also been populated with new content on a roughly weekly basis, mostly of Andrew ranting about wealth and masculinity.

The brothers’ videos regularly get between 100,000 and 250,000 views on the platform, while Andrew’s X posts have broken a million views multiple times in recent weeks. His latest post received 2.7 million views, and a pre-recorded interview posted to his account after his arrest got 4.3 million impressions.

“Only two women birth your kids? Lol,” Andrew tweeted the day his most recent arrest. “You call that brave? Real men have 5 non secret families.”

It’s representative of a non-stop barrage of offense dished out by the brothers recently.

“For men it’s who you know. For girls it’s who you blow,” Andrew said in April on X, also saying that month: “I trust a black man over a white woman. Infact even a mexican man over a white woman. I trust a 12 year old boy over a full grown woman.”

“Some girls have vaginas that looks like a single pencil line was drawn on the gap between their legs. And some girls, god doesn’t like very much,” Tristan tweeted in May.

The brothers are now facing dozens of new charges related to sex trafficking and sexual violence against women, on top of 21 charges issued by British prosecutors in 2024. The Tates have been accused of manipulating women to create sexual video content for them on platforms like OnlyFans.

Andrew, 39, has newly been charged with seven counts of rape, three counts of sex trafficking, three counts of assault causing bodily harm and 19 charges related to “indecent images of a child” and “extreme pornography,” according to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Tristan, 38, has been charged with one new count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of sex trafficking.

They have repeatedly denied wrongdoing, and their lawyer has claimed the prosecution is politically motivated.

Andrew bragged on X in 2023 that his network of super fans who subscribe to his $7,979 a year “War Room” virtual club had his “life completely in order while [he was] unjustly detained” and that they had “taken on [his] responsibilities.”

Coming to America seemed to make him more defiant. In February of 2025, once the Tates landed by private jet in Fort Lauderdale after Romanian prosecutors lifted a travel ban, Andrew immediately began to taunt the authorities. “I’m right here in Miami,” he said in a March 2025 podcast. “Come get me. Arrest me. Put me on the news.”

All that bluster has made for a profitable venture. A 2024 British civil forfeiture judgment revealed that Andrew and Tristan generated £21 million in revenue from online ventures between 2014 and 2022.

But Rieder, the professor and researcher, holds out hope that the latest arrests might at least blunt the impact of their messaging.

“Young men certainly connected with Tate’s rhetoric initially, but at this point, I think that the serial arrests and clownish stunts are off-putting to anyone but the most hardcore fans,” he said. “There are now many actors with similar ideas but a less garish profile.”
