Most expensive World Cup venues revealed — with some costing fans eye-popping 0 for snacks

Here’s where to get the most bang for your “Cup.”

Trying to eat one’s fill at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium can quickly empty your wallet. The Florida-based arena was recently ranked the most expensive World Cup venue in North America for concessions with meals costing fans over $100 on average, per a snack-y survey by online gaming authority Casino.org.

This comes amid a flurry of complaints from (largely) European FIFA fans about the seemingly extortionate prices charged at US World Cup concessions, from $23 for brisket-loaded nachos at SOFI Stadium to $27 cocktails in Miami.

“It’s three times the cost of what I pay in my country,” lamented Thomas Schüller, an engineer from Germany, who felt royally ripped off by a $17 beer in Toronto.

Concession prices have shot up sixfold since 2014, according to Casino.org’s analysis. Getty Images

In total, Casino.org calculated that average matchday bill has soared from $6.56 in 2014 to $38.51 in 2026 — a 487% increase — meaning fans are now shelling out 6x more for the same basic stadium essentials.

As we head to the FIFA sporting event’s quarterfinal around, Casino.org decided to help hangry football fanatics avoid bankruptcy by ranking the World Cup venues according to the price of their concessions.

To determine the most and least expensive arenas, the gambling aficionado analyzed the current concession prices at all 16 host stadiums, which it renamed for the event after their host city.

For each arena, they calculated the price of one one classic game day meal (hot dog, taco, burger), one official World Cup signature stadium dish, a domestic beer, a snack such as chips or nuts, and a bottle of water. They then tallied the cost of all the items to get the stadium’s total concession cost and final ranking.

When it comes to pauper-making meals, Miami reigns supreme. A typical stadium visit sets fans back  $110, borne aloft by the $75 caviar-adorned tater tots. The aforementioned highway robbery cocktails don’t chase away the financial pain.

Clocking in at number two for concession prices was Boston’s Gillette Stadium (Boston Stadium in FIFA speak), where snackish fans spend $78 on a typical game-day grub haul, including a $39 lobster roll.

Kansas City followed close behind in third, with fans forking over an average of $73.12 on food. Some of the ritzier options included the $28 Kansas City “Crossbar Cut” while domestic beer clocked in at $18.39.

Rounding out the top five were Dallas Stadium ($70.70) and the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium ($63.25), which boasted the most expensive beer at $21.50.

On the other end of the spectrum, Atlanta Stadium was the most reasonable spot for vittles, with the average total haul clocking in at just $31.50. Cash-strapped fans can spend just $2, $5 on beer (the cheapest of the 16 venues), $3.50 chips, and a $3 water bottle, making the Southern stadium ideal for fans looking to save on snacks.

BC Place Vancouver affords fans the second best deal on the roster: $45.52 on average. While the $16.25 maple smokie dog isn’t exactly a bargain buy, the cheap snacks and water can help fans eat their fill while making their financial goals.

Coming in third was New Jersey’s own MetLife Stadium, temporarily renamed New York/New Jersey Stadium for the WC. A typical food and drink basket runs customers $47.50, including a $12 ripper hot dog, $17 beer, $5 snack, and $5 water.

The 16 World Cup venues ranked by concession price

  1. Miami Stadium — $110.00
