Military aircraft escorted through Torrance ahead of Armed Forces Day events

TORRANCE, Calif. () — A military aircraft was given a police escort Thursday night as it was towed from Torrance Airport to City Yard ahead of upcoming Armed Forces Day festivities.

Video from AIR7 showed the aircraft being transported through city streets around 10:30 p.m.

The aircraft is going on display as part of this year’s Armed Forces Day parade and celebration.

The exhibit site is scheduled to open to the public at 10 a.m. Friday.

The parade is set to take place along Torrance Boulevard on Saturday afternoon.
