McDonald’s CEO roasted yet again for eating on-camera — after offering tips on how to look less awkward doing it

The internet’s beef with McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski is never-ending.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Kempczinski responded to the backlash he got for the way he ate McDonald’s new Big Arch burger.

“I got a call from one of my kids and they said, ‘Dad, you’ve gone viral and not in a good way,” the fast-food executive told WSJ Columnist Tim Higgins in the interview.

In the now-viral video, Kempczinski took one singular bite of the burger — which many pointed out that he called a “product” — and left fans wondering if he even ate at the company he runs.

“Mmm, that is so good, that’s a big bite for a Big Arch,” the CEO said in the moment after taking a comically small bite and holding the burger up to the camera.

It became such a viral moment that even the Burger King and Wendy’s CEOs got in on the joke.

In the WSJ video interview, Higgins asked Kempczinski if he had any advice for somebody regarding how to eat on camera.

“Well, I’d say the biggest thing is just dive right in,” Kempczinski replied with a laugh. “I’m looking forward to taking a nice bite out of this chicken nugget.”

“It’s a little weird to watch each other eat,” Higgins said, to which Kempczinski quipped, “Imagine how I felt.”

Turns out he might still feel that way — because now the internet is criticizing how he took that “nice bite” of a McNugget.

The Journal posted a clip of the video posted to social media, and fans had plenty to say.

“The nugget bite was worse than the burger one,” one person said on Instagram.

“somehow this is worse than the original video,” another agreed.

“He hesitated before saying chicken nugget. He wanted to say product,” a TikTok user commented.

“This didn’t fix anything,” someone noted.

“Why do they continue to put him on air,” one asked.

“At that rate he’ll be done eating that one nugget next week,” someone quipped.

“Why does he make it look painful?” another questioned.
