EL SERENO, LOS ANGELES () — A man was found dead in El Sereno on Tuesday night after police responded to a report of shots fired at the scene of a car crash, authorities said.
Officers responded at 10:48 p.m. to the crash site near the intersection of Navarro Street and Pueblo Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
According to an LAPD spokesperson, two males were involved in the crash, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police spokesperson said one of the individuals was armed with a weapon, and the deceased victim possibly sustained a self-inflicted wound to the head. No other injuries were reported.
According to the LAPD, the incident was not being investigated as a homicide.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately released.
The crash and the possible shooting remained under investigaiton.
