LOS ANGELES () — The criminal case stemming from a Malibu crash that killed four Pepperdine students will move forward to trial after a judge denied a defense request to dismiss murder charges against Fraser Bohm.
Defense attorneys had asked the court to throw out the charges against Bohm. Prosecutors allege Bohm was speeding on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu in 2023 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck parked cars.
Authorities say those parked cars then hit four sorority sisters.
Bohm’s attorneys have argued that he was attempting to get away from a road rage driver at the time of the crash.
The trial is scheduled to begin Sept. 8.
