Could Little Debbie be the next big star of World Cup 2026?
The long-beloved snack brand — founded in 1960 and boasting 174,000 Instagram followers — is getting in on the hype surrounding this year’s World Cup by launching a “Summer of Soccer” event, which will introduce fun, new snacks, revamped packaging for old favorites, and even exclusive fan merch.
The winning lineup of treats includes Soccer Brownies (fudgy desserts topped with green icing to resemble a soccer field, complete with game-inspired designs stamped on top); Soccer S’mores Mini Muffins (a brand summer flavor baked with mini chocolate chips and marshmallow-flavored bits); Soccer Gingerbread Cookies (the brand’s classic gingerbread cookies updated with game-themed packaging); and Soccer Mini Donuts (another classic topped with colorful sugar crystals).
For hardcore fans of the bites who also want to show their World Cup spirit, Little Debbie is offering “Summer of Soccer” apparel, which will be available exclusively on the brand’s Shopify store. A colorful jersey with the number “60” will pay homage to their founding year, and a themed water bottle will also become available starting the first week of June.
Sounds like a keeper to us.
Little Debbie fans abound in the US, with Americans purchasing more than 2,000 Little Debbie products per minute, according to a company press release touting the new, sporty goods.
“Love seeing Debs in her new getup,” food blogger @markie_devo recently posted alongside a picture of the fresh snack lineup, complete with a soccer ball emoji.
Little Debbie is not the only food brand getting in on the festivities for the 2026 World Cup — the first time the games have been held in the US in over 30 years.
Domino’s is getting ready for the game by giving away free “Emergency Pizzas” — $1 million worth, to be exact — if any player from the US team is harshly punished with a red card during the soccer tournament.
In this event, the pizza chain will randomly choose more than 60,000 winners to receive two free medium, two-topping pizzas.
“Soccer gurus know the worst thing to happen in a game is for a player on the team you’re rooting for to receive a red card,” Kate Trumbull, Domino’s executive vice president, said in a statement.
“If that happens to the American squad, Domino’s is here to help ease the pain by giving away Emergency Pizzas,” she continued. “It may not change the outcome of the match, but it can provide a delicious pick-me-up when it’s needed most.”
