Those were the words flowing from Julia Fox’s mouth as she sat beside a priest in a confessional, filming a bold new promotion for the latest launch from David Protein: the Bronze Bar.
As the Priest asks the iconic model and actress what it is that tempts her, she slowly responds, “I tried to be good, and I tried to resist it, and I told myself I would just taste it. And the worst part is, I didn’t even try to stop myself the second time. It was just so rich….”
“Speak the name of this man,” he commands.
“Not a man, Father. It’s David.”
David Protein has emerged as a leader in the protein space, known for its gold-wrapped, chocolate-coated bars that deliver 28 grams of protein for just 150 calories, with zero added sugar.
According to millions of TikTokers, they’re basically the gold standard for a solid carb-to-protein ratio. And, the texture and flavor are surprisingly delectable for something loaded with so much protein.
Now, the brand is making it clear that protein goals aren’t just for men — they’re for women, too.
With its launch of the revamped Bronze Bar, David is leaning into a more decadent, dessert-like flavor designed to satisfy sweet cravings, while still packing in a solid 20 grams of protein.
The bars are currently offered in four flavors: Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch, Smore’s Chocolate Crunch, Cookied Dough’s Caramel Chocolate Crunch, and Double Chocolate Chocolate Crunch.
In an interview with Nylon Magazine, Fox — who’s previously been photographed showing off her chiseled, rock-hard abs — admitted she hasn’t always been a fan of protein bars.
“I’m not a big protein bar girl because I like things to taste good and sweet,” she explained. “This is the only protein bar brand I will eat that actually does taste like candy. It’s so freaking good.”
A 12-pack of the Daid Bronze Bars is currently priced at $39 on Amazon.
