Katy Perry is the ultimate cool girl, so we trust her judgment with bags — especially since she’s rocking the same chic style as Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez. Her exact ‘cocoon’ pouch costs $2,255, but we found a sleek lookalike for only $30!
Perry brought Cali-girl fashion to New York City, wearing a vibrant coral mini dress and a white Aquazzura Cocoon Pouch. Sure, the dress was bright, but her chic purse totally stole the show. Some call it a cocoon bag, others a ‘dumpling’ bag, but all we know is this celeb-approved bag look is mega trending, and Amazon has a similar style for just $30.

Like Perry’s, this Chriswish Dumpling Purse features smooth (faux) leather material, a creamy white color and a slouchy, rounded silhouette. It makes you appear effortlessly stylish, whether you pair it with a dress for weddings or a tee and jeans for errands.
But it’s not just pretty. This secretly practical bag is also a crossbody, something we can’t say about Perry’s $2,000+ version. According to shoppers, it’s also much roomier than it looks, so don’t be surprised if it becomes your go-to for casual and special occasions alike.
“This bag is giving luxury without the luxury price tag,” one five-star shopper wrote. “It instantly elevates any outfit. It fits all my essentials, and I love that I can switch from a clutch to a shoulder bag with the detachable chain.”
Another happy reviewer shared, “It has a very elegant and classy look that works perfectly for dinners, gatherings or even casual outings . . . I really like the gold chain strap. It makes it convenient to carry as a shoulder or crossbody bag and adds just the right amount of style. When carried as a clutch, it still looks very polished and sophisticated.”
Even though this elegant accessory comes in 16 colors, we’re copying Perry’s fall white moment. It gives dark neutrals a much-needed pop, and it transitions seamlessly from season to season. We’re wearing it from now until, well, indefinitely!
