Go behind-the-scenes with iconic storytellers in the new documentary, ‘Disney Worldbuilders’

Disney is home to some of the most iconic worlds and a new documentary is shedding light on how some of them are created.

“Disney Worldbuilders” features interviews with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron, who created the world of Avatar, Jon Favreau, whose work span the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Star Wars franchise, Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter, Jennifer Lee, Oscar-winning writer and director of “Frozen,” Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios as well as The Walt Disney Company CEO Josh D’Amaro and former CEO Bob Iger.

The documentary is directed by Leslie Iwerks, who has a history with Disney herself. She is the granddaughter of Ub Iwerks, a Disney Legend and the co-creator of Mickey Mouse alongside Walt Disney. Her previous work includes “The Imagineering Story” and “Disneyland Handcrafted.”

In the teaser, seen in the video player above, Favreau says, “Technology with this great piece of storytelling creates this immersive experience.”

“If you really want people to believe in it, you’ve gotta do it right,” said Docter.

“Disney Worldbuilders” is coming soon to Disney+.
