Drag legend Ginger Minj is making her Broadway Sacramento debut as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray, now playing at the UC Davis Health Pavilion. Check out photos from the production below!

The Tony Award-winning musical comedy follows 16-year-old Tracy Turnblad in 1960s Baltimore as she sets out to dance her way onto television’s most popular show. The score includes “Welcome to the ’60s,” “Good Morning Baltimore” and “You Can’t Stop the Beat.”
Joining Minj in the cast is Kaitlyn Louise Smith as Tracy Turnblad, along with Jamie Torcellini, Altamiece Carolyn Cooper, Michael Starr, Hannah Sedlacek, Will Savarese, Kathryn Brunner, Jamonté D. Bruten, Madeleine Doherty, Dave Pierini, Olivia Elease Hardy and Sara Gettelfinger.
Minj was most recently crowned the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 10, following previous appearances on Season 7, All Stars Season 2 and All Stars Season 6. Her screen credits include Dumplin’, Hocus Pocus 2 and the recently released Stop! That! Train! alongside RuPaul and fellow Drag Race stars.
Later this year, Minj will tour North America with Jujubee, Sapphira Cristál and Landon Cider in Hokus Pokus Live! and release The Broad’s Way, an EP featuring a collection of Broadway songs.
Hairspray runs through August 30 at the UC Davis Health Pavilion.
