Drake Maye’s wife, Ann Michael Maye, is stitching her New England Patriots support close to her heart.
“Happy WIP Wednesday. I almost forgot, and then I didn’t,” Ann Michael, 22, said in a Wednesday, January 28, TikTok video about her latest “Work in Progress” needlepoint crafts. “I haven’t finished anything this week, but I’m close. I feel like I made a lot of progress.”
Ann Michael has been working on a white-and-Carolina-blue cross pattern, as well as a “This is Packing Light” luggage tag.
“I think I’m going to try to finish [the luggage tag] this week, and I did get this,” Ann Michael continued, holding up an illustrated version of a Massachusetts license plate that read “Go Pats” in the middle. “I foresee this being framed in our house.”
Quarterback Drake, 23, was drafted by the Patriots in 2024, leading them to Super Bowl 60 next month. Ann Michael’s latest needlepoint project, which pays homage to Drake’s career, will feature a white background with red lettering on “Go Pats.” She will also stitch “Massachusetts” and “The Spirit of America” with blue embroidery floss to complete the design.
Ann Michael, who went viral on TikTok in late 2025 for her baking vlogs, also took up needlepoint in the new year.
“If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m getting into needlepointing,” she said in a TikTok video uploaded earlier this month. “Today is going to be my first WIP Wednesday. I’m keeping all my needlepoint stuff in this really cute bag from BaubleBar, but I want to show you what I’m working on. I also need lots of tips.”
At the time, Ann Michael revealed that she recently completed her first project.
“‘It’s, like, an ornament — a Tar Heels ornament,” she said, referring to her and Drake’s University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill alma mater. “That’s at the finisher’s [to get] finished.”
Ann Michael followed up her ornament with a key fob cover that had a blue background with a red chainlink pattern in the middle.
“I only know how to do continental stitch at the moment, so we’ve only been doing continental,” she said in her debut crafting video. “I’ve done everything except for the inner red, so that’s what I’m going to work on today. I’m going to make it into a little key fob, it’s really cute. … That was easy [and] I’ve flown through.”
Ann Michael also planned to make an embroidered bookmark.
“It also has the letters of the alphabet, and I think it’s really cute,” she said. “It would be so cute for a bookmark. It might be too long, but we will see [and] it’s kind of fun with all the different colors. [Then,] my mother-in-law got me this for Christmas, it’s, like, this mini stocking, which is really, really cute.”
Ann Michael travels with her needlepoint crafts when she journeys to Drake’s NFL games. The couple, who have been married since summer 2025, most recently celebrated Drake and the Patriots winning the 2026 AFC Championship game on Sunday, January 25.
“WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!❤️💙❤️💙 Words can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of you, #10!!!!” Ann Michael wrote via Instagram on Monday, January 26. “Watching your dreams come true is the biggest blessing and I love you!!!!!”
Drake and the Patriots will play the Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8.
