Double Lives of Suburban Wives proves once again that there’s always more that meets the eye.
In Us’ exclusive sneak peek of the Sunday, August 9, premiere of TLC’s newest reality show, viewers meet Missouri resident Tammy as she attempts to maintain her “double life.”
“For the last couple of years, I’ve been doing something a little unconventional. I’m not exactly hiding it, but some people might judge me for it,” she explains in the clip. “I am known as Tammy to a lot of my friends and family, but a lot of people in our online space know me as Erica Swings.”
Erica Swings is the online alias Tammy uses when creating and sharing adult-only content.
“Adult content creation is anything from texting with fans, to selling pictures, to selling worn clothing items, to making more explicit videos,” she shares. “It wasn’t until doing adult content that I really came into my confidence.”

Tammy’s lover, Drew, recalls the day he posted a photo of his once-insecure partner posing in underwear online. Although people couldn’t see her face, the image “blew up” — and the next chapter of her life began to unfold.
“When I met Drew, I was very, very shy. I definitely was very self-conscious about my body,” Tammy explains. “I did not consider myself attractive at all.”
Drew adds of his partner’s past mindset, “She had no self-confidence. She kept telling me, ‘No, I don’t want to wear that because I don’t feel like I could pull that off.’ I said, ‘Babe, you are so hot.’”
As Tammy continues exploring the adult content space, there is one thing always in the back of her head — her strong Christian faith, which has her questioning if adult content is an appropriate way for her to make a living.
“I thought maybe I can make money by doing this, but that was a huge struggle, especially with my faith,” she explains. “Being a Christian and being in the adult content world, it’s just as it sounds. It is very clashing. I do struggle with that, like, ‘Yeah, I’m contributing to somebody lusting.’”
Tammy and Drew are just one of six couples in the St. Louis area documented on Double Lives of Suburban Wives, TLC’s new reality show highlighting the complexities of their marriages, lives as parents and suburban lifestyles while making a mark in the adult content world.
Double Lives of Suburban Wives premieres on TLC Sunday, August 9 at 10 p.m. ET.
