Disneyland hikes prices on even more menu items by up to — the latest financial blow to fans

The “happiest place on earth” is hiking up their food and beverage prices yet again — this time, with the largest hit on the park’s table-service establishments.

Thirteen bars restaurants, bars and lounges throughout the popular park will employ the price increases, with 291 menu items being affected — most notably a mix of dessert snacks and a selection of specialty alcoholic drinks, per a new report from Mickey Visit.

The announcement comes mere weeks after Disneyland upped prices on over 800 food and drink items across 178 dining locations in its parks and resort hotels — with sweet staples like churros, funnel cakes, Mickey beignets, and Dasani water all being affected.

The move was another financial blow for Disneyland fans, as select admission tickets rose by $18 last October.

Prices on the items that were increased in this newest, additional round of hikes went up by an average of 6.5%, with most individual items going up by $1 and entrée prices increasing by approximately $2 to $3, though the Blue Bayou Restaurant’s Roasted Chicken and Market Fish dishes both jumped by a substantial $4.

River Belle Terrace (which features Southern-inspired cuisine) experienced the highest average price jump of their food at 9.5%, with Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou Restaurant following close behind at 9.2% and 9.0%, respectively.

Seventy-three menu items included in the park’s culinary price hike rose by a median of $2, while table service dishes rose by $2 to $3.

Additionally, the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose bounced from $149 to $152 per guest.

As for the 42 dessert items affected — including mouthwatering treats like cake pops, cupcakes and caramel apples — the average increase rang in at 9.5%, with most items being sold for a $1 more (though fan favorites like Milk Chocolate Peanut Clusters and Peanut Brittle had $1.70 tacked on).

As far as adult beverages go, some grownup guests will have to shell out some extra cash for their drink of choice, depending on what catches their eye. Overall, the median bar drink rose by $1 (from $20 to $21), with 41 drinks crossing the price increase threshold of $20 and over drinks. Now, Disneyland offers 118 drinks for $20 and over, whereas before, the number was 77.

The drink prices most noticeably increased were for the Lamplight Lounge’s Cinnamon Toast Cocktail (shifting from $19.25 to $22) and Latitude 33 Brewing Blood Orange IPA going from $12 to $15.75.

While a select few items actually went down in cost — most notably, red and white sangria at Wine Country Trattoria, which reduced from $13.50 to $12.50, and the establishment’s Aperol Spritz, which lowered from $22 to $21 — the overwhelming amount of price increases across the park in general has guests feeling sour (though it is still allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic drink to the park).

When referring to the last round of increases, one X user shared their opinion that “America is doomed,” as previously reported by the California Post. One more said, “Disney should be ashamed of themselves.”
