Carly Rae Jepsen and her husband, Cole M.G.N., have welcomed their first baby.
“Last 2 weeks have been the best of my life,” Jepsen, 40, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 17. “Welcome to the world little one.”
The musician shared a mirror selfie, holding her newborn, confirming the baby arrived earlier this month.
Jepsen and Cole (real name Cole Marsden Greif-Neill) began dating in 2022 after meeting in a songwriting session the previous year. The couple announced their engagement in September 2024 and tied the knot one year later in New York City in October 2025.

“Often in life we’ll imagine things, and even though the reality can be good, it’s never quite as good. This day felt like the exception. It was better than either one of our wildest dreams,” Jepsen told Vogue of her wedding to Cole. “We felt connected through the whole thing, which was really important to us. In fact, we even had a few special songs planted in the DJ’s setlist so that, no matter where we were at the moment, when we heard those songs, we would come find each other.”
At the time, Jepsen hinted that her plans to start a family with Cole impacted her wedding day attire.

“We knew we were trying to get pregnant, so I also wanted an alternative dress that was much more flowy that I could sub in for the ceremony or just change into for dancing,” she explained of her decision to wear a strapless corseted gown from Australian designer Toni Maticevski for the ceremony and a tiered dress from New York designer Danielle Frankel for the reception.
One month after the nuptials, Jepsen announced she was pregnant with the newlyweds’ first baby.
“Oh hi baby,” she captioned a series of black-and-white Instagram photos that showed her and Cole cradling her bare baby bump while sitting in bed.

Later in November 2025, Jepsen shared images from her combined “babymoon/honeymoon” as she and Cole enjoyed downtime at the beach. She also offered an update on her pregnancy progress, writing in another post, “Hiking at a pace much slower than usual. And if snacks were important before they are vital now. [Tomorrow] marks six months.”
That same month, Jepsen celebrated her 40th birthday as she awaited her little one’s arrival.
“Forty and fabulous exclamation mark ❗️ Milestone bday,” she gushed via Instagram. “If I’m doing my job right, things will just get weirder from here on out. I plan to wear all the wild outfits, keep exploring in music and art and embrace this new chapter head on (or sometimes w a fuzzy hat). Here’s to more adventures, more incredible friendships, traveling w a baby (help!) and just more love all around. Can’t wait for it all. ♥️.”
