California lake town to be transformed with world-class race track, luxe condos and private club

NASCAR veteran and road-racing legend Boris Said is behind bombshell plans for “Elsinoring” — a Nürburgring-inspired private motorsports playground near Lake Elsinore where wealthy motorheads can race around a track with 22 turns — then park them at their own luxe “garage villa.”

The name is a cheeky, palm-tree-lined homage to Germany’s infamous racing venue and plans call for a 3.2-mile, 22 turn circuit designed to FIA Grade 2 standards with three different configurations allowing separate portions of the track to potentially operate at the same time.

The track promises a mix of technical corners, sweeping sections, and passing opportunities, with drivers divided into sessions based on experience and the type of vehicle they’re driving — according to an AI-driven marketing package blasted across the project’s flashy website.

The paradox of unapologetic mega-wealth coming to a down-on-its-luck lake town is hard to miss. Plagued by toxic green algae blooms, Lake Elsinore has a less than glamorous reputation, and is better known for an infamous serial killer or wild brawls at In-N-out than multi-million dollar cars and fancy homes.

“The city loves us,” Said told Autoweek. The sentiment was echoed by Lake Elsinore‘s economic development director, Gina Gonzalez, who touted the town as the “actions sports capital of the world.”

The Elsinore Ring project is also plotting a well-heeled auto enthusiast’s dream version of a condo, with plans to reportedly offer 275 garage condominiums and trackside “villas,” envisioned with 1,300 square feet of climate-controlled garage space capable of holding six to eight cars. In addition to storing their Ferrari’s and McLarens there, members can live there year-round if they want.

Each private luxury retreat is “finished to the standard of a luxury custom home,” complete with a kitchen outfitted with “premium designer appliances, stone countertops with waterfall edges, and custom cabinetry.” Plus, the villas feature private balconies with a full view of the track.

Other amenities read like an upscale resort, with its clubhouse boasting a swimming pool with a glass floor and panoramic views of the circuit, a luxe spa and gym, among others. A dedicated helipad will sit right on top of the clubhouse roof so high-roller can easily bypass SoCal traffic.

Since Lake Elsinore has long branded itself as a off-road and water sports mecca, flanked by skydiving fields and motocross tracks, the location of Elsinore Ring is ideal.

“I’ve had the opportunity to drive some of the best race tracks ever built,” Said said on the track’s AI-glam website. “And that experience has inspired a dream to build the ultimate private motorsport country club right here in Southern California.”

While some grand dreams run out of fuel before a shovel hits the dirt, Said told Autoweek that funding is already lined up and planning is underway, with Hermann Tilke’s firm Tilke Engineers and Architects designing the track. Said is reportedly eyeing a 2030 ribbon cutting.
