Building a Layered Homeland Defense

Defending the homeland against evolving threats requires more than a single system or solution. In this video, experts from Lockheed Martin share how the company is integrating independent capabilities into a layered defense that connects satellites, radars and interceptor systems.

From space-based sensing to proven interceptors like THAAD and PAC-3 MSE, each layer is designed to play a different role in the broader defense architecture. Together, these capabilities are intended to help operators match the right response to the right threat and strengthen the nation’s ability to respond as adversaries develop new technologies.
