Anna Kournikova and her longtime partner, Enrique Iglesias, have welcomed their fourth baby.
The duo announced the news on Monday, December 22, with a joint Instagram post that included a photo of the newborn swaddled in a striped blanket. “My Sunshine 12.17.2025,” Kournikova, 44, captioned the post.
People reported in August 28 that Kournikova was pregnant and that she and Iglesias, 50, are “very happy to become parents again.”
Speculation arose that the retired tennis star was pregnant once again over the summer when Kournikova was spotted with a possible baby bump while running errands with her and Iglesias’ children. (The couple share twins Lucy and Nicholas, 8, and daughter Mary, 5.)
Kournikova was subsequently missing when Iglesias made his triumphant return to the stage in his native Spain at the Estadio de Gran Canaria on July 5. This was an especially important show for Iglesias because he had not performed in his home country for six years.
The couple are known for staying private about their relationship. Us confirmed in December 2017 that the couple secretly welcomed twins when they were photographed leaving the hospital after Lucy and Nicholas’ births.
Kournikova announced she’d welcomed daughter Mary in January 2020 with a peek inside the delivery room as she cradled her newborn daughter.
Iglesias and Kournikova have been together since meeting on the set of the musician’s “Escape” music video in 2001 but never married. The athlete told Women’s Health in 2011 that walking down the aisle with the “Hero” singer simply was not a priority.
“[Marriage] isn’t important to me. I’m in a happy relationship — that’s all that matters,” Kournikova said. “I believe in commitment. I believe in being open and trusting each other and respecting each other completely.”
While Iglesias has referred to Kournikova as his “wife” on stage, he admitted to The Sun in 2017 that he too saw no real benefit to officially tying the knot.

“We’re just as happy [as a married couple],” Iglesias insisted. “There comes a point when you’ve been with someone for a certain amount of time and I believe that you are, like, married. I guess the only difference is that we haven’t walked down the aisle.”
Iglesias offered rare insight into the relationship in 2023 when he revealed that he and Kournikova were instantly compatible because of their careers.
“When we met — although she came from the sports world — in a way, we kind of got each other,” he told People. “She knew what my world was like. I kind of knew what her world was like. So that understanding helped a lot. We just started connecting little by little and got stronger and stronger and stronger.”
While the early stages of their relationship garnered huge publicity, Iglesias and Kournikova have taken a step back from the spotlight in recent years to raise their children.
Kournikova made her first public appearance in nearly three years this past January when she was spotted in a wheelchair and wearing a walking boot on her right foot at the Bal Harbor Shops in Miami, Florida, according to photos obtained by The New York Post.
Despite concerns over her health, Kournikova was out of her walking boot by March when she was featured in photos published by Hola! magazine that showed her donning a black, one-piece swimsuit on a boat with Iglesias and their kids in Miami.
