An LA-area road was just crowned America’s most passive-aggressive

A Los Angeles-area road has been named the most passive-aggressive in the America — and anyone who has driven it probably understands why.

Ventura Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley ranked No. 1 in a new survey of the US roads most associated with low-level hostile driving behaviors, including tailgating, blocking merges, brake-checking and excessive honking.

The report from trucking support compant American River Wellness described Ventura Boulevard as a hub of “hyper-local irritation” rather than outright freeway rage.

“The kind where every left turn feels personal, and nobody wants to surrender a gap because they have already been sitting through traffic for 25 minutes,” the survey said.

Ventura Boulevard — packed with restaurants, shops, parking lots, driveways and valets — was singled out as the type of busy commercial corridor where everyday traffic annoyances can quickly pile up.

California, Florida and New York dominated the top of the national rankings, according to the study.

Merge lanes were the biggest trigger point nationwide, with 26% of respondents saying they most often noticed passive-aggressive driving behavior there.

The report said the worst roads are often not massive highways, but ordinary thoroughfares where drivers deal with the same “tiny moments” every day — blocked merges, disappearing gaps and cars inching forward just enough to stop someone else from getting ahead.
