Scottish-American actor John Barrowman is getting roasted online for his rant about a recent business class experience, with many labelling the clip “ridiculous”.
The Doctor Who star and former Dancing on Ice judge shared a now-deleted video on X complaining about the “shady” service during a flight from Los Angeles to London on American Airlines.
His tirade included a lack of pajamas, which business class passengers receive complimentary when flying on ultra-long-haul flights.
“Hi American [Airlines] we have paid for the flagship service,” he began, filming from his seat as he pointed out his dad and husband who were seated behind him.
“My father and my husband behind and the tickets were very expensive and we get on thinking we’d get pajamas with the flagship service,” the rant began.
“Then you apparently only give them to the first two rows in business class. What’s that all about?
“So far you’re not batting very high,” the 59-year-old continued.
The “Desperate Housewives” actor also complained that the cabin crew got his order incorrect.
“Meal order wrong and then told we don’t have exactly what everyone else is getting on the flight when we all have flagship service.”
He signed off: “Can you explain? Thank you.”
While some voiced their support for the actor, others weren’t so forgiving, branding him a “diva”.
“To be fair if you pay a lot of money for a service then I’d expect the service I paid for,” one person commented on X.
“I’m in no way a fan of John Barrowman, but how do people have an issue with him asking for something he’s paid for?” said another.
One person who appeared shocked by his rant, wrote: “The entitlement is off the scale.”
Another added sarcastically: “Our thoughts are with John Barrowman at this difficult time,” while a third wrote: “Stop moaning about a pair of pyjamas, if you paid business class you can afford a pair yourself!”
In the caption of his post, Barrowman slammed the airline further, claiming he had received poor customer service.
“I find that shady and bad customer service. You’re supposed to be pushing this flagship and at the moment it’s not hitting the ball out of the park.”
