Gigi Hadid’s $18 Skincare Secret Is an ‘Unsexy’ Find That Shoppers Say Gives Them ‘Glass Skin’

When you’re a supermodel like Gigi Hadid, having glowing skin is practically part of the job. Between countless runway shows, photoshoots and hours spent in the makeup chair, her complexion is constantly in the spotlight. So when she shares a skincare product that actually delivers, we’re all ears. Her latest beauty recommendation? The Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot Exfoliating White Rice Ampoule, an $18 Amazon find designed to remove dead skin cells and reveal a smoother, brighter-looking complexion.

During a backstage interview at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Hadid revealed that the Dr. Melaxin exfoliating treatment is one of her favorite ‘unsexy’ beauty products, touting “that works.” And while the name might not exactly scream ‘luxury,’ the promise of smoother, glass-like skin certainly has our attention.

This formula isn’t your typical exfoliator. The liquid ampoule helps lift away dead skin cells and surface buildup. But here’s the kicker: As you massage it onto your skin, you may notice little particles forming and rolling away. The result is skin that feels noticeably smoother and looks way clearer. Think of it as hitting the reset button on skin that’s looking a little lackluster.

Another standout ingredient is the rice water extract. Rice has long been used in Korean beauty routines, and it’s particularly popular in products formulated to promote a brighter, more even-looking complexion. As for this one, the rice water paired with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid helps improve the appearance of dullness and rough texture, making it especially appealing if your skin has been looking tired or uneven lately.

And because smoother skin reflects light more evenly, the exfoliation technique can help create that coveted glass-skin effect without relying on layers of highlighter or illuminating makeup.

Hadid isn’t the only one obsessed with the Peel Shot. One Amazon shopper said it gives an “instant face refresh” and that their “texture is smoother” and “glass-like.”

Another reviewer in their 40s raved, “It is gentle and it works like nothing else I have ever used. The resurfacing I get is mind blowing to me. I wish I could give this 20 stars. I really do. I can’t even describe how amazing it feels and how well moisturizer, primer, face oil, etc. absorb after using this stuff.”

If dullness, rough patches or uneven texture have been getting in the way of your glow, follow in Hadid’s footsteps and add the Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot to your Amazon cart.
