Taco Bell adds new twist to cult classic drink — but it’s only available at one location

Blast off, Las Vegas.

Taco Bell has announced a drink-centric expansion and a boozy new addition to its beverage lineup.

On October 15th, the fast-food chain announced it will open more Live Más Cafés, a specialty drink-focused concept already available at nearly 40 Taco Bell restaurants in the U.S.

Among the new cafes opening will be a stand-alone Las Vegas location serving Taco Bell’s Boozy Mountain Dew Baja Blast.

Taco Bell is no stranger to booze slinging; several of the brand’s upscale Taco Bell Cantina restaurants offer alcoholic options, including beer and wine.

The first Taco Bell Cantina to sell alcohol opened in Chicago in 2025.

Slated to open later this fall, the new Las Vegas locale will occupy a shipping container adjacent to the Las Vegas Taco Bell Cantina on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Beyond the Boozy Mountain Dew Baja Blast, the Las Vegas location will serve 20 specialty drinks, including a Strawberry Passionfruit Refresca Rush and a Cold Brew Cinnatini.

Taco Bell devotees can also score exclusive merch at the Vegas outpost.

In addition to the Vegas location, Taco Bell is opening three Live Más Cafés in India: in Lafayette, Greenfield and Muncy.

The Lafayette location is slated to open on October 22, while the others are scheduled to open before the end of the year.

Three California Live Más Cafés will also open before we close out 2026 in Irvine, Tustin, and The Westfield Century City Mall in Los Angeles.

“Our fans have always loved our beverages, and the response to Live Más Café has shown us they’re craving even more,” said Liz Matthews, Global Chief Food Innovation Officer at Taco Bell.

“Seeing that excitement continue to grow across our Cafés tells us we’re onto something special, and we’re ready to take it even further with bold new drinks and more ways for fans to experience Live Más Café.”

Since launching in Chula Vista, California, in 2024, Live Más Café has introduced nearly two dozen new beverage innovations, including the You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast.

“With approximately 1.3 million beverages sold to date and breakfast and afternoon emerging as the most popular dayparts, Live Más Café continues to build momentum, demonstrating the concept’s ability to create new Taco Bell occasions,” states the company website.

But it ain’t all bueno for the Bell.

Earlier this fall a New Yorker filed a class-action lawsuit against Taco Bell, accusing the fast-food chain of falsely advertising its fillings.

Frank Siragusa was lured to the Bell to “live mas” last September by images of the brand’s Mexican Pizza.

However, according to Siragusa, the $5.49 fan favorite contained only about half the meat and beans advertised in-store and online.

Meanwhile, the beans Siragusa claims were meager in his meal became the focus of online controversy after an employee exposed the restaurant chain’s questionable bean-preparation practices.

Visuals of the controversial food prep, shared via @ItzSleepyPanz, show a kitchen employee dumping warm water onto brown, dehydrated, stringy scraps, allegedly stirring the blend into Taco Bell’s refried beans.

The eye-popping post has amassed over 13 million views from divided digital audiences worldwide.
