LOS ANGELES — Wrapping up its first season back on air after 16 years is ‘s “Scrubs.”
The revival saw the return of the central trio Zach Braff (Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian), Sarah Chalke (Dr. Elliot Reid) and Donald Faison (Dr. Chris Turk), alongside original cast members Judy Reyes (Carla) and John C. McGinley (Dr. Perry Cox).
The nine-episode season ends with a finale episode titled “My Celebration,” where “a chaotic day at Sacred Heart forces the doctors and interns to face burnout, life-changing decisions and their relationships with one another.”
On The Red Carpet caught up with the crew at a special screening of the finale, where the cast hinted at what we can expect to see in the new episode.
“It’s very moving and, but also funny. There’s probably more laughs in the finale than any other episode. I will say that,” said Braff.
Faison echoed the same sentiment. “I laughed my butt off watching it, and I’m not usually privy to seeing the episodes. Zach’s very secretive and holds on to them really tight, but it’s really good, and I’m excited for everybody else.”
Chalke explained, “It’s a really moving episode. I think you know it’s everything that I loved about ‘Scrubs’ when I read the first script 25 years ago.”
