Kits part of the recall have sell-by dates between March 5 and March 16. They were sold at Costco locations in 26 states, as well as Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
If you bought the meal kit, do not eat it. Costco says customers can return it for a full refund.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience this recall may have caused,” Costco said.
The company added that no illnesses have been reported.
Salmonella symptoms include diarrhea, stomach cramps, headache, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Symptoms usually start six hours to six days after infection and usually last four to seven days.
Infections can be severe in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems, who may require hospitalization.
