ANAHEIM, Calif. () — At least eight members of the Anaheim High School running team were hurt when a vehicle plowed into them at a street intersection Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, the group of high school runners were waiting at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and W. North Street when they were hit by a car that went off the road just before 3 p.m.
At least eight teens were hurt and three of them required immediate transports, authorities said. They were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The agency says they are investigating this as a possible DUI.
No further details were immediately known.
