4. Westwood
While most In-N-Outs follow a standard template, this one is unique. Nestled right next to the UCLA campus, this branch was custom-designed by the late architect Stephen Kanner and features retro-futuristic design. This is arguably the most famous and heavily reviewed In-N-Out location on Yelp. Situated right next to Los Angeles International Airport, customers eat Double-Doubles on patio benches while massive commercial jets roar directly overhead. While it’s always crowded and at times chaotic, the Sepulveda location is a rite of passage for tourists landing in LA and a warm welcome to every native returning home. If you want to understand the soul of In-N-Out, you have to go back to where it all began. Baldwin Park is the birthplace of the chain, where founders Harry and Esther Snyder opened California’s first drive-thru hamburger stand in 1948.
